Life Lessons From An Ice Princess: Let Go of Perfection and Start Making Progress
// Business Tips
Last night I watched the movie, FROZEN, for the zillionth time.
You know the one with the ice princess who accidentally freezes her kingdom and then runs away from home; to be eventually saved by her sister, a stranger, an elk (moose?), and a snowman (or something like that)?
Anyway, about half way through the movie Princess Elsa bolts out this catchy little phrase, “Let it go!”
It never fails, the kids and I can’t help ourselves so we join in and start singing along.
Do you ever hear that ONE THING that changes the way you think about things?
Three little words with such a huge impact.
So like a good friend, I just had to share it with you.
Because, when you discover something impactful, who else would you share it with than your awesome community, right?
OK so here is my ah-ha moment....
We sometimes think we have to do things a certain way in order to have success in our life, family or business.
What does that mean?
It means that we are trying to attain perfection, which is really just unattainable anyway.
It doesn’t exist.
And if we keep on trying to attain the unattainable, just because the world around us makes us think that is what we need to be, then we are going to end up feeling deflated.
So there it is...if you are trying to #doallthethings, I give you permission to just LET IT GO and be who you were created to be.
Just BE YOU.
That is the best gift you can give yourself.
This one simple mindset shift will move you toward the PROGRESS you want to make in your life and business.
Now I want to hear you singing today, friend!
“Let it go! Let it go!”
p.s. After reading this did you just realize something you are doing in your business or daily life that you need to just LET IT GO? I would love to hear...leave a comment below.
